Embarking on a truly memorable journey with the ever-jovial Nick Matthews was an adventure like no other. Nick’s penchant for playful jests often leads him to humorously use his own name when making restaurant reservations, adding a delightful touch of whimsy to our travels. Despite his playful nature, Nick’s dedication to kiteboarding is evident, even though his previous injury limits his time on the board.

Our destination? The captivating island of Aruba, chosen to cater not only to Nick’s passion but also to the varied interests of his family. Aruba, renowned for its culinary delights, indulged our desire for fresh and delectable cuisine at every turn. From the tantalizing truffle sauce to the mouthwatering spaghetti with Parmesan and the succulent fillet of fresh tuna, the island’s culinary offerings left no palate unsatisfied.

Aruba’s windy shores presented a thrilling challenge for Antoine, with an offshore wind spot that undoubtedly ranks as one of the gustiest he’s ever encountered. Yet, despite its intensity, the onshore wind offered great conditions for kiteboarding, especially when the tides aligned, providing ample opportunities for progression—much to the delight of young Julien and Nick’s wife, Julie.

As we ventured beyond the city limits, the crystal-clear waters revealed an abundance of wildlife, enchanting us at every turn. The trip proved to be another resounding success, fulfilling the desires of our guests beyond expectation. However, it’s worth noting that if your sole focus is on exceptional kiteboarding without regard for other pleasures, Aruba may not be the ideal destination for you.
