In November 2021, our guests were warmly welcomed at Escape Pousada, conveniently located right next to the kiteboarding lagoon. The village of Barra Nova provided a tranquil setting, offering everything essential for our Kite Trips Brazil 2021 adventure. The dedicated owner of the pousada ensured daily that the service, food, and accommodation surpassed expectations.

Both breakfast and dinner were meticulously prepared for us at the pousada, and regardless of our hunger levels, everyone expressed daily how abundantly satisfying the meals were. For lunch, we often took a stroll to nearby restaurants, indulging in Acai bowls or savoring fresh fish—a perfect complement to our kiteboarding escapades.

Each member of the group experienced rapid progression, surpassing their expectations in the tidal lagoon of Barra Nova during our Kite Trips Brazil 2021. The ever-changing beauty of the slated water and turquoise hues provided a mesmerizing backdrop for our kiteboarding adventures. The tidal lagoon and ocean both offered flat water at certain times of the day, creating a perfect environment for freestyle, big air, and strapless freestyle maneuvers.

Our daily yoga sessions, held in the morning or evening, aimed to enhance flexibility, strength, and cultivate a calm and relaxed mental state. Recognizing the technical nuances of kiteboarding, Antoine ensured essential clinics, covering topics like lines check, self-launch, self-land, stalls, and self-rescue, among others, were conducted.

Transitioning to our second camp in Taiba, our guests were treated to a luxurious house with an oceanfront view, spacious interiors, and a beautiful garden. Positioned at the town’s premier kitesurf spot, the house offered not only comfort but also easy access to incredible kiteboarding conditions. The culinary experience matched the grandeur of the surroundings, with chefs delivering timely, warm, and delicious meals with stunning presentations.

Daily trips to the lagoon, just a short truck ride away, allowed guests to ride on butter-flat water against the backdrop of donkeys, birds, sand dunes, and fishermen. Progressing in both twintip and strapless surf, guests reached and exceeded their expectations. Our attentive crew captured memorable pictures and slow-motion videos, providing valuable feedback for improvement.

For a change of pace, downwinders from the house to the lagoon became a unique mode of travel. Oceanfront sessions in front of the house allowed for wave riding and an appreciation of the endless ocean.

To immortalize the experience, a group picture featuring our guests and staff marked the final night of the camp. Despite the diligent use of sunscreen, the smiles in the photo revealed the joy and gratitude everyone felt for their time in Brazil.
